Physics
The study of Physics gives us a better understanding of how the world works - from a
microscopic to astronomic level. It influences everything from cancer treatment, computer and phones to sportswear, renewable energy and weather forecasting.
Physicists are very highly regarded by universities and future employers. The study of Physics demonstrates key transferable skills (analytical, practical, observational, communication and teamwork alongside problem solving).
Remember that studying Physics doesn't just lead to work in research laboratories or engineering. Amongst other things, physicists monitor the environment, invent medical equipment, make the latest cars the safest ever, model financial markets, design computer games... The list is endless!
At Alleyn's, Physics is taught as a separate Science to all students from Year 7 to Year 11 and is a thriving A level subject, with growing numbers each year. Click on the links to investigate each of the Key Stages in more detail.
