Facilities for the Community

The School's holiday periods provide the opportunity for a broad range of additional activities to take place under the Facilities for the Community Programme.

Last summer, Alleyn's hosted, and helped to organise, six local school Sports Days which saw in excess of 2,000 local children use our facilities over the course of six days.

The London Schools' Cricket Association held several fixtures at the school whilst Surrey County held one of its regional trials at Alleyn's. Despite inclement weather the South London Special League were also able to host part of their disabled cricket finals here.

The Surrey Hockey Association has run weekly Junior Development Centres from the school's astroturf pitch in order to highlight talented players who are able to represent the County.

The children's charity ‘Sp8 of the Art' held their Children's Art Day Extravaganza in the Michael Croft Theatre on 9th July. The event was supported by National Art Week and drew 150 - 200 children from across London to partake in workshops and to watch a special finale hosted by popular BBC children's TV presenters, Kirsten O'Brien and Mike Fischetti.

The Dulwich Youth Orchestra also rehearsed here for a week culminating in an evening concert in the Great Hall.
