Alleyn's Virtual Open Event
Welcome to this Virtually Alleyn's Open Event! Around this time of year, we would usually invite prospective applicants and their families to join us at School to learn more about our happy community, hear about the application process from our Senior Management Team, and take a tour around the campus with our friendly pupil guides.
Of course, we can't do that at the moment.
While we would much rather be meeting you in person, and look forward to doing so as soon as guidance allows, we hope that in the meantime you will enjoy this Virtually Alleyn's Open Event. You will hear from a number of colleagues including our Interim Headmaster, Mr Andy Skinnard, and Mrs Jane Lunnon, who joins us in January 2021 as our new Head.
We also share below an FAQ session, presented by Head of Lower School Stuart Turner and our Senior School Registrar, Ms Louise Mawer, who address questions that are often raised by parents and children at open events.
Most importantly, you will also meet with our new School Captains, who will give you a flavour of life at Alleyn's from their perspective; including their advice for pupils and parents considering an application to Alleyn's.
We hope that you will very much enjoy these presentations. School Captain Morgan and Vice Captains Jules and Jonny share their views on life at Alleyn's.
You might now like to register for a small group question and answer session, via Zoom, with Mr Stuart Turner, Head of Lower School & 11+ Admissions, or Dr Atkinson, Head of Upper School and 16+ Admissions. The virtual meetings will be held from September and will last up to 40 minutes.
You can also register for the Music Department Open Morning for Potential 11+ Scholars. The purpose of this special morning is to give children the opportunity to meet the music department staff and current music scholars and ask any questions they have. Please register and we will be in touch. At the time of writing, it is not known whether this event will take place in School or virtually.
