“Alleyn’s School is one of the best co-educational schools in the country, with a distinctive ethos and a history of academic and co-curricular excellence.
We are committed to providing a first-class, all-round education to those of high intellectual promise and wider potential, regardless of background.
Nearly four hundred years after Edward Alleyn’s original foundation, our ambition is to make an Alleyn’s education more widely accessible to those who would benefit from it, irrespective of financial means, and to continue to develop the School’s facilities to the highest possible standards. To do this we need your help.
I am proud to be leading Alleyn's School as we approach the 400th anniversary of our foundation in 1619.
Over the years, we have built a school ethos based on friendliness, mutual support and encouragement. It is these core values, and our commitment to co-education, which has created a thriving and stimulating learning environment that sets our pupils on the road to becoming well-rounded, happy and fulfilled adults.
Our next decade will build on these strengths. We are planning for significant investment in people and facilities to ensure that Alleyn's develops its ability to offer the very best education possible to girls and boys, irrespective of family income, for years to come.
We have two immediate goals: first, to establish significant bursary funds so that more families are able to benefit from an Alleyn's education, irrespective of financial means. Secondly, to develop our buildings and equipment to provide an environment increasingly fit for twenty-first century learning, just as our first Headmaster, the Rev'd. J H Smith, created one fit for the twentieth century.
With your help we can achieve this.”

Advancing Alleyn’s is overseen by the School's Development Office team. If you think you can help the school, would like to subscribe to our e-newsletter or publications, or attend an event, please just click here and let us know.
My Gift to Alleyn's:
I decided to give from a place of pure gratitude for all the musical support and lessons that I had received...and wanting to make that a possibility for future children at the School.
