Secret Postcards Part 2

Secret Postcards Part 2

Secret Postcards is back, for a limited, pre-Christmas sale to benefit Alleyn’s means-tested bursary fund.

We are thrilled to share the news that Secret Postcards is back, for a limited, pre-Christmas sale to benefit Alleyn’s means-tested bursary fund, and the 400th Anniversary Campaign: Growing Bursaries for the Future.

In October we presented a ‘blind’ sale and private-view full of artists original work as ‘secret’ postcards, with guests choosing artworks they liked, and finding out later whose work they owned.

We raised over £8,000 towards the goal of increasing access to an Alleyn’s education, thanks to participation of our community of artists, and art lovers.

Now we present an unveiled selection of works during a time-limited online sale for those who couldn’t attend in October.

This sale of original artwork, donated by Alleyn’s art practitioners from our community of parents, past parents, alumni, current pupils and staff, will run from midday Monday, 25 November until midnight on 8 December.

How to get involved:

Starting Monday 25 November, simply visit this link and peruse the artworks, now with their ‘secret’ creators' names revealed.

To bid for a work choose a Secret Postcard, note its number, and send an email to development@alleyns.org.uk.

In your email, note the card number(s) in your subject line, and submit your bid for the work.

Starting bids are £40 and the sale operates as a blind auction, so submit your best price. You can submit more than once should you wish to change your bid. Highest bids secure the cards. 100% of monies received go to the 400th Anniversary Campaign.

The sale is open until midnight Sunday 8 December. You will be alerted as the winner of a Secret Postcard the week of 9 to 13 December. Artworks can be paid for via the website, or in person with cash or cheque, and will be available for collection until 20 December, and then again in January 2020.

Thank you for your interest in supporting means-tested bursaries, and happy perusing! Please direct any queries to development@alleyns.org.uk
