As part of the Advancing Alleyn's development programme the School's Development and Alumni Office arranges receptions which bring the whole Alleyn's community together to celebrate their association with Alleyn's, learn more about the development needs of the School, make new contacts and to discuss ways in which our supporters can help the School financially and through our careers programme.

Wednesday 3 June 2016 saw an Advancing Alleyn's professional networking event for all those of the Alleyn's community working or studying in the creative arts. The event took place in The Saloon of Brunswick House which happily hosted nearly one hundred Alleyn's professionals working in this field. Guests ranged from orchestral musicians, performance poets, artists, photographers, scriptwriters and film and theatre producers, to designers and actors.

On Wednesday 18th March 2015, 120 scientists and medics gathered in the historic Cholmondeley Room and Terrace of the House of Lords to meet colleagues, contemporaries and fellow professionals to share experiences, network and find out more about the School's plans for educating the scientists of the future. Guests ranged from prospective undergraduates to professors and experts of the highest level in their fields and there was a happy mix of alumni of all ages, current parents, parents of former pupils, former staff and staff.

On 4th June, 2014 at Wellington Arch 50 staff, parents and alumni attended a reception to celebrate the Alleyn's community's involvement in the civil and armed services. Addressed by Headmaster, Dr Gary Savage, Professor the Lord Kakkar and parent Beth McHattie, our guests gathered at the top of his amazing London landmark for drinks and canapés and to hear about the School's development plans and how each of us can continue to foster and support the lifetime value of an Alleyn's education.
We are very grateful to English Heritage for their generosity in allowing us the use of this wonderful venue.
On 23rd April, 2013 at the home of the Royal Academy of Engineering, Prince Philip House we held a wonderful reception for alumni and parents involved in the engineering and related professions. A crowd of more than seventy enjoyed drinks and canapes in the Al Qasimi Room, examining the architects' model of the 10 year building programme and hearing addresses from Lord Kakkar and Dr Savage.
Continuing the success of the Advancing Alleyn's professional networking receptions, on 19th March 2014 at the Inner Temple, over 120 staff, parents and alumni who work in or study law attended a reception to celebrate their Alleyn's community's connections. Addressed by Senior Deputy Head, Antony Faccinello, our guests gathered in the Parliament Chamber for drinks and canapés and to hear about the School's development plans and how each of us can continue to foster and support the lifetime value of an Alleyn's education. We are grateful to London-based media and entertainment law firm Lee and Thompson which supported this reception.
On 8th May, 2013 at the RSA some 160 staff, parents and alumni attended a reception to celebrate the Alleyn's community's involvement in the media professions. Addressed by Headmaster, Dr Gary Savage and AOB Nell Butler, our TV and Film producers, editors, authors, publishers, PR consultants, advertising executives and photographers gathered in the Benjamin Franklin Room for drinks and canapes, examined the architects' model of the School's 10 year building programme and enjoyed a screening of the video presentation of the School's buildings through the ages, created by our student working in the Media Studies department.
