Head of Psychology Stephen Keeler captivates MCT audience with a journey into evil at latest All@Alleyn's event.
2019 marks the 400th anniversary of Edward Alleyn's College of God's Gift, founded in Dulwich by the celebrated actor, entrepreneur and benefactor.
In the four centuries since 1619, Edward Alleyn's original vision for exceptional education has developed into several schools across London, as well as the original Chapel and Almshouses in Dulwich. At Alleyn's, we want to celebrate this astonishing story, and to build an enduring legacy which echoes our Founder's own.
We very much hope that our School and wider community will want to join with us throughout 2019, as we commemorate 400 years of history, welcome the community for the free All@Alleyn's programme of performances, workshops and lectures, and signpost our 400th Anniversary Campaign: Growing Bursaries for the Future. This ambitious new fundraising campaign seeks to dramatically extend our bursary provision for girls and boys; widening access to Alleyn’s School for those who would not otherwise be able to attend. Supported by a line-up of dedicated Ambassadors drawn from the wider Alleyn's community, the Campaign strives to raise funds to increase means-tested bursary provision from the current 10%, to 20% of our pupils.
All@Alleyn's - A Free Series of Lectures, Performances and Workshops for All
As part of our celebrations, we are delighted to invite our friends and neighbours to take part in the All@Alleyn's series; a programme of engaging performances, lectures and workshops that are free and open to all. Provided by Alleyn's staff and pupils, a range of talks will cover literature, art history, science and more. We plan to add concerts and workshops to the bill, too.
All@Alleyn's events will take place throughout 2019 with dates and booking updates posted to our website. Events are free to attend but places must be booked online. The next two All@Alleyn's events are shown below, and you can view the full line-up here.
