Last week on Thursday our brilliant shortlist for the Governors' Research Project Prize attended their vivas with a panel formed of our Governors and Senior Leadership Team. They were all absolutely wonderful and after much deliberation the GRPP was awarded to Conor K for his essay "Can self-determination exist without statehood?"
The runners up for the prize were Deniz K who explored "Does replacing current CPI with one-year-ahead household inflation expectations improve the historical fit of a simplified smoothed Taylor-type rule to UK Bank Rate? Evidence from 2010–2025." and Ella S who researched "To what extent was there a transference of economic, social and ideological features of the Reconquista to the Spanish colonisation of America in the early 16th century?"
