Casting triumph for Matilda

Huge congratulations to Year 12 student Matilda who has been cast in the brand new National Youth Music Theatre production, LEGEND TRIPPERS.

The National Youth Music Theatre offers talented young people aged 10 to 23 opportunities in pre-professional musical theatre training, commissions and presents new work, and produces bold, new adaptations of major works. To be cast in a production is a huge tribute to Matilda’s talents.

LEGEND TRIPPERS is an energetic new musical by the award-winning writing partnership of writer and lyricist Scott Gilmour and composer Claire McKenzie. The production uses the lens of a group of mismatched school children who all share a love of the supernatural to explore themes of social and political division, shining a light on how we treat "outsiders".

Matilda has been cast in the role of Addy, a long-time friend of popular bully, Heath, who obsessed with conspiracy and doomsday theories.

Performances of LEGEND TRIPPERS will be held at The Other Palace, London from 14 to 17 August.

Congratulations Matilda!
