In April 2021 Boris Johnson and The Chief executive of the Royal Mail announced a competition for children to design a postage stamp to celebrate Covid-19 heroes.
Milo decided to enter the competition, and after some deliberation on all the possible heroes of the pandemic he finally decided to depict ‘kind neighbours’, and used his parents as models.
Milo says he almost forgot about the competition until he received a letter saying that he had been shortlisted to the last 120 entries out of over 600,000 entrants – an incredible achievement!
The winning 24 regional designs will be announced in November and eight of these will be chosen as official Royal Mail stamps which will be issued in Spring 2022.
