Our floristry workshop with Elizabeth from The Dulwich Petal Project is the perfect opportunity to learn a new skill and create something beautiful to impress your friends and family.
Have you ever looked at flowers in the supermarket and wondered how you could transform them into a gorgeous bouquet? Or, wanted to brighten your home with a vase of cut flowers and foliage from the garden?
During our workshop Elizabeth will show you how to, step by step. Elizabeth will share with you her floral experience along with plenty of practical tips and tricks - how to select and combine the freshest flowers, how to enhance your flowers’ longevity, even how to choose the ‘right’ vase.
You will work closely with Elizabeth to arrange a selection of seasonal flowers that you might buy from a supermarket or find in your garden and arrange them like a pro florist! You’ll learn how to arrange, tie and wrap your flowers ready to present as a gift or to take home and pop in a vase for yourself.
"I’ve worked as a florist from my flower shed in Dulwich for the last six years. I like to use seasonal flowers that you’d find growing in a garden and my flower style is relaxed and natural. I create flowers for every event from birthdays, christenings, parties, lunches, dinners, weddings, book launches, funerals and everything else in between for shops, venues and private homes. I run a variety of different workshops throughout the year featuring the art of seasonal handtied bouquets, table centres and Christmas wreaths, amongst others. I also create and deliver Friday bouquets to clients in the local area. I am absolutely delighted to share my passion for flowers and encourage creativity."
