Alleyn's is where 400 years of heritage, tradition and resourcefulness meet the liberal, exciting energy of southeast London. We are dynamic, enterprising, creative and full of fun; one of the country's leading co-educational independent day schools with a history of outstanding academic and co-curricular success. Alleyn's is a school at ease with itself, where there is space for young people to be whoever they want to be, to try new things and discover who they are in a highly supportive, generous and friendly community that is built on mutual trust and respect.
Our Model United Nations delegates are gearing up for a weekend of diplomatic debates on global issues at Lingfield College this weekend. There, they will delve into insightful discussions, strategic negotiations, and collaborative problem-solving.
This week, our talented Year 11 students dove into the world of the Bear Pit, a small-scale yet intense drama production that puts them at the helm of creativity. Led and directed by students, the Bear Pit offers a unique opportunity for our pupils to take on more responsibility, explore adult themes, and engage in the full spectrum of writing, directing, producing, and performing.
Next week, we're launching our "5 Days of Christmas Food Collection" campaign to support Albrighton Fridge, the Brixton & Norwood Food Bank, and Under One Sky. Each day has a special focus, from staples to festive treats and gifts for children.
School Council convened their first meeting for 2023-2024 on Tuesday of this week. Gavel in hand, Chair, Skye Richarz and Deputy-Chair, Chloe Masson facilitated discussion around several topics affecting our student body. Mrs Lunnon engaged in driving solution-oriented conversation with the representatives.
In a display of teamwork, creativity, and culinary arts, the Year 7 MasterChef competition unfolded this week, transforming the school kitchen into a hub of excitement and delicious aromas. Tasked with cooking a main and a dessert to be tasted and judged by Mrs. Lunnon, our teams of Year 7 chefs demonstrated remarkable composure as they collaborated to whip up an array of mouthwatering dishes.
