Alleyn’s School 
We believe that an education is about more than what happens in the classroom. It's also about the difference our pupils make in the world around them. From their very first years with us, children learn that they belong to a wider community, and that they have the power and responsibility to give something back.
Charitable giving runs through the life of the school, from our youngest junior pupils to our senior students. Our Junior School enjoys successful relationships with a wide range of local and national charities and community organisations, including The Norwood and Brixton Food Bank, Link Age, The Royal British Legion, Children in Need, Save the Children and Macmillan Cancer Support. Each year, our Year Six Charity Monitors carefully select a local charity to support throughout the school year. Past choices have included the Denmark Hill Adventure Playground and the London Community Boxing gym in Peckham. A weekly tuck shop, termly charity breakfasts, discos, movie nights and many more child-inspired events all help raise money and awareness for the chosen cause, and teach our pupils early on what it means to care about the world beyond the classroom.
As pupils move up through the school, they take on more responsibility, with senior students leading their own campaigns, choosing charities to support, and organising events that bring the whole school community together. Our Senior School enjoys successful relationships with a wide range of local charities and community organisations, including The Norwood and Brixton Food Bank, Girls United, King's College Hospital, Get Rid of It Donate, the Lambeth & Southwark Primary Schools Football League, The St Matthew's Project and the Woodcraft Folk youth group. Each year, our pupils, families and staff raise thousands of pounds for local, national and international charities. Along the way, pupils build leadership, teamwork and empathy that stay with them long after they leave.
Our commitment to partnership goes further still. Through our Senior School Partnerships Programme, our students and staff work alongside local schools on shared academic, cultural and sporting projects that benefit everyone involved.
We are fortunate to have outstanding facilities, and we believe they should serve our wider community too. Throughout the year, we share our sports grounds, swimming pool, theatre, classrooms and other spaces with local state schools, charities and youth organisations. Local primary schools join us each summer to hold their sports days on our fields and track, and our theatre plays host to their end-of-year productions, giving young performers a real stage to shine on. Whether it's a youth group training on our pitches or a local charity hosting an event in our hall, these partnerships create real opportunities and lasting relationships.
