We are delighted to welcome Oakfield Prep School into the Alleyn’s Schools Group, becoming Alleyn’s Oakfield from September 2025. This exciting development unites two schools with a long-standing shared commitment to exceptional, holistic education and a vision grounded in values, community, and care.
Joining the Alleyn’s School Group from September 2025, Alleyn’s Oakfield is rooted in strong values and a deep commitment to holistic education that inspires. We offer a joyful, nurturing start to a lifelong love of learning
For over 140 years, Oakfield has raised generations of young learners. Now, as part of the Alleyn’s family, Alleyn’s Oakfield will continue to offer an enriching foundation, preparing children to thrive not just in school, but in life. Together, we believe that every child can become all they can be.
Alleyn’s Oakfield will remain rooted in its ethos of educating each child intellectually, socially, emotionally, and creatively while aligning with Alleyn’s mission to develop young people to take their place in the world and make a real difference to it.
Together, we will continue to:
We are delighted to welcome Oakfield Prep School into the Alleyn’s Schools Group, as part of our strategic plan to reach and inspire more children with our Alleyn’s education.
Recognising Oakfield as a long standing and important part of the Dulwich community, we are hugely privileged that Alleyn’s will play a role in its next chapter. We believe that this will be a successful and inspiring partnership for both schools, with Oakfield’s values embodied by the six Cs already aligning so closely with our own ROCCK values (Respect, Opportunity, Courage, Curiosity and Kindness) and our longstanding mission to teach the whole child in a holistic way, supporting them to become all they can be.
Our collaboration means not only that we will have the great delight of supporting Alleyn’s Oakfield Head Gemma Davies and her team as they educate Oakfield children, it also means that we can help safeguard the school’s future in our local community, whatever challenges might arise.
Alleyn’s Oakfield will become part of Alleyn’s Schools Group. Alleyn’s Oakfield will be owned and operated solely by Alleyn’s School and as such, will follow its historic charitable objects (its charitable aims), and become part of the Alleyn’s School charity.
Alleyn’s School Governors will oversee the running of Alleyn’s Oakfield.
Alleyn’s Oakfield will continue to be led by its existing Head, Gemma Davies, who started at the school in September 2025, along with her dedicated staff team. We know that they share our commitment to developing our children to be all they can be. They will work together with Alleyn's to deliver on that vision and mission.
The Alleyn’s Schools Group is a collection of schools rooted in and informed by the rich heritage of Alleyn’s School united by a vision for world-class holistic education. The Alleyn’s Schools Group provides a scholarly, values-driven and enriching education that extends far beyond the classroom. Alleyn’s Oakfield joins Alleyn’s Regent’s Park and Alleyn’s Hampstead, announced earlier this year, alongside Alleyn’s School in Dulwich.
All children in any one of the schools in the Alleyn’s Schools Group are being educated to be all they can be; ready to thrive at the senior school of their choice and, ultimately, to take their place in the world and make a real difference in it.
Alleyn’s offers a scholarly, values-led, holistic and joyful education within our community and beyond it. This means we combine the academic (seeking excellence through intellectual curiosity) with the pastoral (proactive social, life and wellbeing literacy) and co-curricular (emotional, artistic and character shaping).
