Alleyn’s School 
Alleyn’s offers two distinctive junior school environments in Dulwich. Regular admission to both our junior schools occurs at 4+, 7+ and 9+, to join Reception, Year 3 and Year 5.
We welcome applications a year before potential entry and registration for 2027 entry opens on Monday 1 September and closes at midday on Friday 13 November 2026.
Alleyn’s Junior School and Alleyn’s Oakfield are non-identical twins — each with their own character, shaped by history and location, yet united by the same values and educational philosophy.
Pupils who join either of our junior schools have automatic entry to the Senior School but they still sit the scholarship/entrance exam and are interviewed with all other candidates. Usually, pupils from our junior schools are expected to make up approximately one third of the Senior School's Year 7 intake.
Occasionally, a current pupil leaves, creating a vacancy and we welcome interest from families seeking a change. To learn more about occasional vacancies at both our junior schools and Senior School click here.
In addition to formal entry points at 4+, 7+ and 9+, to join Reception, Year 3 and Year 5, we have a number of occasional vacancies to join Alleyn's Oakfield for an Alleyn's assured place to start in September 2027. Register your interest here to be kept informed.
Registration for entry opens on Monday 1 September and closes at midday on Friday 13 November 2026.
4+ is our first point of entry into the School and we welcome approximately 36 new children into two Reception classes. For entry in September 2027, children will have been born between 1 September 2022 and 31 August 2023.
We will be accepting applications for potential September 2027 entry online from Monday 1 September to midday on Friday 13 November, 2026. Our 4+ Assessments will be on the following dates;
Thursday 7 January 2027
Friday 8 January 2027
Saturday 9 January 2027
All parents will be contacted by email on Friday 22 January with an acceptance deadline of midday on Friday 29 January 2027 for those in receipt of an offer.

7+ is our second regular point of entry into the school and we welcome approximately 8 to 10 new children into Year 3.
We will be accepting applications for potential September 2027 entry online from Monday 1 September to midday on Friday 13 November, 2026. Our 7+ Assessments will be on the following dates;

Registration for entry opens on Monday 1 September and closes at midday on Friday 13 November, 2026.
9+ is our third regular point of entry into the school and we welcome a small number of new children into Year 5.
We will be accepting applications for potential September 2027 entry online from Monday 1 September to midday on Friday 13 November, 2026. Our 9+ Assessments will be on the following dates;
All parents will be contacted by email on Thursday 21 January with an acceptance deadline of midday on Thursday 28 January 2027 for those in receipt of an offer.
