We recognise the power of place on how children learn and, on their wellbeing, and that our school environment can be shaped in a way which inspires learning and embodies Alleyn’s values to create one unifying Alleyn’s Experience.

Every new build project at Alleyn’s is guided by our holistic design philosophy – ALL Spaces - which unites inclusivity, sustainability, visual identity and wellbeing strategies within a single, coherent framework.
The Alleyn’s Experience Strategy defines how spaces should look, feel, and function to reflect the school’s brand and values of respect, opportunity, curiosity, courage and kindness.
It considers how the built environment influences wellbeing and behaviour, ensuring every space contributes positively to learning, belonging, and everyday experience.
Divided into the following key design areas: Acoustics, Lighting, Colour, Airflow, Biophilia, Ergonomics, Flexibility and Senses.
Alleyn’s Inclusive Design Vision and Principles; 'Putting the ‘All’ in Alleyn’s' was developed in collaboration with MotionSpot, authors of RIBA’s Inclusivity Overlay.
Each new build or refurbishment project embeds accessibility and inclusion from the outset.
Our sustainability methodology 'All Now' was built on the principles of Reduce, Reuse, Responsibility, and Regenerate—every development aims to balance environmental stewardship with social impact.
Our smart school methodology " All Connected' uses the principles of marginal gains, using data to power how we understand our learning environments from the ambient noise to the CO2 levels, and ensure the best learning environment for everyone by making sensible management decisions.

We completed an architectural master planning exercise in 2022 for Alleyn’s Senior School and Alleyn’s Junior School located on Townley Road, learn about works in relating to this masterplan here.
We completed a master planning exercise for Alleyn’s Oakfield in 2026 with site improvements coming this summer.
