We have been privileged over the years to welcome a range of high-profile speakers to Alleyn's MUN conferences including Sir Anthony Seldon, Dame Shami Chakrabarti and Sir Jim Knight. Last year we were thrilled to welcome Melinda Bohannon who is Director-General for Global Issues at the UK's Foreign Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO).
We are honoured to welcome Dr Rola Hallam as the keynote speaker for this year's National Model United Nations Conference. An award-winning doctor, humanitarian and founder of the charity CanDo, Dr Hallam has spent nearly two decades working on the frontlines of healthcare in the UK, Sub-Saharan Africa and war-torn Syria.
A passionate advocate for protecting healthcare and children in conflict, she has helped establish seven hospitals in Syria and inspired millions through her TED Talks and international speaking engagements. Her powerful message of leadership, resilience and global citizenship makes her an exceptional speaker to open this year's conference.
