Alumni Walk: Hosey Common, Tower Wood and Westerham

back to calendar

The Randonneurs are an Alleyn's alumni group led by John Gibbons (Tyson's 1970). They organise challenge walks and treks across Britain through the year and warmly welcome new joiners. Find out more about the group here

Hosey Common is a large area of mixed woodland and a Site of Special Scientific Interest, offering beautiful scenery. It runs almost continuously from Sussex right into east Kent. The walk includes an 18th century tower, a folly, as well as historic Westerham. Distance is approximately 11.25km.

Meet at 10.45am at Costa Coffee, 1 The Green, Westerham, TN16 1AS.

The Randonneurs' FB page advises that parking in the village is quite restricted, so it is best to use the large public car park at the east entrance to the village and walk to Costa through the churchyard.

Safety Note: Anyone participating in a walk with The Randonneurs accepts that they do so entirely at their own risk. Whilst there will be experienced walkers on every event, they are not qualified professional guides and do not necessarily have first aid training or qualifications.
