Global Partnerships

We have an ongoing link with Kobe University Secondary School in Japan with pupils from each school visiting each other and enjoying participating in a range of different cultural events such as judo, calligraphy and tea ceremonies.

South Africa – Sparrow Schools

We now have an established link with Sparrow Schools in Johannesburg, which provides specialised education for disadvantaged children with learning differences. Pupils from Alleyn’s spent a day at the school while on their sports tour of South Africa and were truly inspired by the young people there. Two teachers from Sparrow Schools have also spent a day at Alleyn’s working closely with their respective subject departments. The Charity Committee continue to fundraise for this school.

Zimbabwe – Scholarship Fund

Our links with Zimbabwe continue to flourish. In the Autumn half term 2017 Reverend Buckley went to Manicaland in Zimbabwe. There he met some of the pupils whose school fees are funded by donations through Alleyn's, visited several schools and spoke with the Anglican clergy. All he met were very grateful for the ongoing generosity of Alleyn's pupils and parents, raising the money to make education possible for these young people.

Through the generous fundraising of the Alleyn’s Parents' Association, we have contributed to the building of a new classroom block at Ganet’s Adventure School in Malawi. Pupils in both schools have written and exchanged letters to each other and we look forward to learning more about Malawi in curriculum-based projects. To find out more about Ganet’s Adventure School visit their website by following the link above.
