Opening of the Chris Marvin Observatory at Founder's Day

The Chris Marvin Observatory was officially opened on Founder's Day 2016 by Alleyn's School alumnus Nick Jarmany in a short unveiling ceremony also attended by former teacher Chris Marvin and current members of staff.  Staff and pupils have already enjoyed making use of this facility, last month witnessing the transit of Mercury across the sun. The new ( and over-subscribed) Astronomy course will be launched in September 2016.
