Wish Upon a Star Competition

Congratulations to Lottie who has had a star named after her in recognition of her wonderfully detailed entry into a competition to design an alien from another planet. After reading some scientific field notes about the planet, she used this information to show what the local inhabitants might look like. In assembly, Lottie was presented with a framed certificate, formally naming a star in the sky after her. We also have a star named after Alleyn’s Junior School! Furthermore, as part of the prize, we will be visited by an inflatable planetarium for each Year group to visit for a lesson in astronomy. Congratulations again to Lottie – an exciting day and even more exciting events ahead thanks to her winning entry.
