Memorabilia from the first co-educational class

Lyn Des Marais, a parent, suggested we include something in the online gallery from the years when Alleyn’s became co-educational. Girls made their first tentative steps into Alleyn’s in the Sixth Form in 1975, and began their Alleyn’s education in earnest from aged 11 a year later in 1976. This is a photograph of those ‘pioneer girls’ of 1976 in their last year, in 1983.
