Year 6 Visit The Globe Theatre

As part of our ongoing celebrations of the 400 years of the school’s foundation, Year 6 visited the Globe Theatre. The walk from London Bridge station provided ample opportunity for sightseeing and soaking up the atmosphere of the Southbank where Edward Alleyn spent so much of his time.

We enjoyed a tour of the Globe followed by energetic drama workshops; 6B explored the plot and language of ‘Macbeth’ and 6K focused on ‘Hamlet’. The morning gave a real flavour of Edward Alleyn’s acting days and brought to life much of the history that we have discussed.
