Theo in Year 10 has long been in the habit of sitting down at his piano and improvising, sometimes developing a motif he remembers from before and sometimes developing new motifs. For the first time recently, Theo recorded his improvisation of a piece he decided to name Complication in c, because, ‘I felt like what I was doing was taking a simple theme and making it more complicated in different ways, rather than following any sort of pattern’.
Here is a short taster of the ten-minute piece, which we all agree is delightful, as well as being inspiration to us all to indulge in the mindful pursuit of our own creative passions at home.
