The day started with breakfast pastries with a European flavour and continued into lunch prepared by our wonderful catering staff consisting of dishes from Italy, Spain, Germany, France and more. After school, there was special screening in the MCT of foreign language shorts.
Upper school students performed a repertoire of European composers from Germany, Russia and France in the Great Hall.
The following day, Years 9-13 attended House meetings where they received a language taster from bilingual members of their House and words from teachers and members of the Alleyn’s community about how languages have shaped their lives.
