This week Year 9 Geographers went along to a number of locations at the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, interviewing locals, looking at the effects of gentrification and visiting the Wetlands Bowl, which prevents flooding of the new developments.

At the end of the day, the pupils visited the velodrome, where they met an Olympic legend:

“We saw Dame Laura Kenny, who won two gold medals in the 2012 London Olympics and another two golds in the same events at the Rio 2016 Olympics!” Gabriel, Year 9.
