Earlier this month our DofE minibus was put to good use by Eden Aid, whose volunteers drove it full of much needed supplies to Ukraine, and brought people who are fleeing the zone back on its return journey.
The bus joined others to make the charity’s 27th trip to Ukraine, during which they collected 35 people, 3 dogs, 2 cats and one hamster! Since March, the charity has taken out 245 pallets of medical, sanitary and food aid and returned with 561 refugees, 64 dogs, 49 cats, a hamster and one guinea pig! In doing so they have driven enough miles to circumnavigate the world eight times.
The picture below shows our DofE minibus delivering aid to a refugee centre in Poznan, Poland.
