Year 8 All Stars Spread Some Festive Joy

Our fantastic Year 8 All Stars choir brought festive joy to the local community singing Christmas carols to members of the Link Age Southwark on Wednesday 7 December.

Link Age Southwark is a vibrant local charity providing volunteer support to over 700 older people in Southwark who are feeling lonely or isolated. The afternoon was a chance for pupils to give something back to our local community and extend our outreach and volunteering programme, and of course was a special chance to help members of the community get into the festive spirit.

Head of Music Outreach, Miss Wynter, said:

“We had such a lovely time! The audience cried in Silent Night and In the Bleak Midwinter and even requested for us to sing one of the songs again.”
