On Wednesday 5 July our annual Sports Awards evening took place. We were delighted to welcome back alumna and Olympian, Eden Cheng (Roper's 2021), who gave us an insight into the start of her diving career at Alleyn's. This year Eden won gold at this year's 2023 European Games in the 10m platform final, cinching team GB a quota place for the diving event at the 2024 Paris Olympics.
Eden gave all of the athletes in the room some advice on how to be successful in their sporting careers: "Be organised", "Be efficient with your time" and "Be willing to make sacrifices". Top advice!
Congratulations to all the evening's winners. We cannot wait to see what sporting achievements our pupils achieve next year, and hope they are taking time to have some well deserved rest!
