The Achievement Awards recognise alumni achievements and celebrate the spirit of possibility.
We were delighted to receive an exciting range of nominations for the 2025 Awards, including authors, artists, scientists, entrepreneurs and performers alike; all recognising the impact our alumni community has in the wider world.
Congratulations to our 2025 winners are Nico Ferrari (Spurgeon's 2005) and Dr Greta McLachlan (Tyson's 2002).
They were recognised at our Celebration Day and each received an original pencil sketch of Ned Alleyn, drawn by Jacob Skinnard (Cribb's 2024) who won The Royal Society of Portrait Painters' The de Laszlo Foundation Award earlier this year.
Learn more about Greta and Nico below, and look out for them in Alleyn's editorial and at events throughout the year!
Learn more about our winners and finalists below. Whatever their field, they each reflect our All We Can Be motto and enduring ROCCK values.
The Awards were established in 2024. They provide a wonderful opportunity to celebrate our Alleyn's alumni community and the individuals within it, as well as providing inspiration for our current pupils.
After enthusiastic voting, our first Alleyn's Alumni Achievement Award winners were unveiled as animal welfare specialist Madeleine Campbell (Dutton's 1986) and social entrepreneur Ted Rosner (Spurgeon's 2006) in the Alumni Achievement and Young Alumni Achievement categories respectively.
After nominations are received for the longlist, the Awards Committee meets to review the nominations and agree a shortlist. The committee includes the Head, the Chair of Governors, the sitting President of the Edward Alleyn Club, the Chair of the Edward Alleyn Club and a representative of Alleyn's teaching staff.
Pupils and staff participated in an internal vote for the 2025 Alumni Achievement Awards shortlist and the winners of the vote will be announced at Celebration Day.
The characteristics we seek each year are referenced within the School's 'All We Can Be' manifesto.
