Alumna Making Musical Waves

Congratulations to composer Dobrinka Tabakova (Tyson’s 1997) on her nomination for a BBC Music Magazine Award, celebrating the best new classical music recordings! 

Dobrinka’s compositions have been making waves for some years with her debut album nominated for a Grammy. In November 2023, she was awarded a prestigious Ivors Classical Award. This most recent outstanding recording collects several of her larger-scale works and marks the end of her tenure as artist-in-residence with The Hallé.
