Alumnus Selected for FIFA World Cup 2026!

Alleyn’s is thrilled to celebrate the extraordinary achievements of professional footballer and alumnus Luc de Fougerolles (Roper’s 2024) as he is selected to represent Canada at the FIFA World Cup 2026. Congratulations, Luc! 

With the tournament fast approaching, talented defender Luc is preparing to step onto football’s most prestigious stage where representing your country is considered one of the greatest honours in sport. One of the 26-strong squad, Luc will proudly represent Canada at a home World Cup, which this year brings together 48 teams to play across Canada, Mexico and the United States.

Luc’s journey to the world stage has been remarkable. His professional career took off in April 2023 when he signed his first contract with Fulham FC, marking the beginning of what has quickly become a highly promising career. Later that year, he earned selection to the Canadian men’s national squad and has already made an impressive impact, earning 11 international caps. 

Now Luc will proudly represent Canada at the World Cup - a testament to his dedication, talent, and hard work. Competing at this level is not only a personal milestone but a moment of immense pride for his family, teammates, and the entire Alleyn’s community.
