Development and Alumni Beyond Alleyn's

Year 12 students enjoyed a dynamic and inspiring Careers Day on 13 March, designed to help them navigate the world of work and explore the many paths open to them after school. The day was powered by the generosity of alumni and parents, who volunteered their time and expertise to guide the next generation.

A key feature of the programme was a series of mock interview sessions, giving students the chance to practice their technique with professionals from across the Alleyn’s community. Among the interviewers was alumnus Joshua Moger (Cribb’s 2008), a Partner at Fladgate LLP as well as an Alleyn’s Governor. In July 2024, Joshua was recognised as one of the Top 25 Family Lawyers in Citywealth’s Leaders List, and he brought both his experience and encouragement to the interview room.

Students also benefited from a lively Careers Café, where they could move between tables to ask questions and gather insight into a wide range of professions, from media and marketing to law, finance, engineering, and non-profit management. Contributing to this session was alumna Eliza Haviland (Cribb’s 2009), Partner at Accanto Partners, an organisation that invests in promising tech start-ups. Eliza shared her expertise on venture capital, entrepreneurship, and the evolving tech landscape.

Throughout the day, students gained practical advice, fresh perspectives, and confidence in their next steps - whether thinking about university applications, planning work experience, or discovering entirely new career fields.

We are extremely grateful to all alumni and parents who volunteered. Their support, insights, and enthusiasm made the day incredibly meaningful for our Year 12 students.
