This week, the Foundation Society welcomed back alumna Lucy Taylor (Bradings, 2019) for an inspiring and high-energy session. Lucy shared her journey from Alleyn’s to the University of Nottingham, offering a behind-the-scenes look at life as both a GP and Emergency Veterinarian, a rare and fascinating dual path that had students fully engaged.
After outlining the realities, challenges and rewards of her work, Lucy put our Year 13s to the test. She delivered a rapid-fire round of interview-style questions, throwing in everything from tough ethical scenarios to quick mental maths and even a picture-based challenge designed to stretch their observational skills.
It was an insightful, lively session that pushed students to think fast, communicate clearly and stay calm under pressure - exactly the attributes they’ll need for upcoming university interviews and beyond.
