Last weekend, a team from the CCF Army section took part in the Cadet Cambrian Patrol, a national military skills competition widely recognised as one of the most demanding events in the cadet calendar. The exercise is designed to test leadership, teamwork, endurance and decision-making under pressure through a challenging multi-day patrol and a series of physically and mentally demanding assessments.
Competing throughout relentless weather conditions, the Alleyn’s team demonstrated exceptional resilience and determination across the weekend, successfully completing the full course and being awarded a Bronze Medal.
This year marked the first time Alleyn’s has ever entered the competition, making the achievement particularly impressive given many of the other contingents have competed multiple times previously.
The team consisted of Seth (Patrol Commander), George (2IC), Scarlett, Alicia, Zeke, Albie, Seb and Henry.
The cadets showed outstanding teamwork, professionalism and perseverance both throughout the event and the preparation in the lead up. The staff were incredibly proud of the attitude and resilience shown by the entire team across the competition.
