Development and Alumni Sport

Wednesday 2 July saw Alleyn’s annual golf competition swing into action, bringing together alumni, pupils, and staff for a spirited day of sport and camaraderie. In this much-anticipated Stapleford match, it was the alumni team who claimed victory — congratulations to the Edward Alleyn Golf Society (EAGS) on their well-earned win!

The top Stapleford scorers on the day were Trevor Cain (Dutton’s 1978) overall and for the alumni, Ludo and Ralph for the pupils and James Gray (Spurgeon’s 2024) for the staff and young alumni team.

EAGS Captain Paul Selwyn (Brading’s 1965) presented Ludo and Ralph with limited edition tees and balls for their efforts.

A big thank you to George Thorne (Cribb’s 1960), Honorary Secretary of EAGS, and Jack Maskill for their excellent organisation and support in making the day such a success.
