Senior School News

The Alleyn’s Charity Committee are a passionate group of pupils who are dedicated to planning and running creative events to support our school charity portfolio. Led graciously by Mrs. Seal, they engage in important work that acknowledges and engages our part to play with the local community and wider world.

This Friday, 3rd May is Charity Day, and the Charity Committee have organised some events to support our partner charities - Sparrow Schools, Ebony Horse Club, Albrighton Community Fridge and Norwood and Brixton Foodbank.

Foodbank Collection

To support our weekly involvement with local food charities Albrighton Community Fridge and the Norwood and Brixton Foodbank, they will be hosting a Foodbank collection at the front of School.

On Friday there will be a Gazebo with collection boxes set up and we would be enormously grateful for any food donations that could be dropped off. Students will help sort the food and deliver it to the foodbanks before the weekend.

We would be especially grateful for the following items (with other items gratefully received!)

  • Dry Pasta
  • Packets of biscuits
  • Long life milk
  • Tinned Soup
  • Tinned meat, fish, fruit, vegetables
  • Fruit juice
  • Boxed cereal
  • Packs of small cakes
  • Toiletries
  • Sanitary Items
  • Cleaning products

Biscuit Decorating

There will be a delicious and creative biscuit icing event held at lunchtime, with pupils welcome to come along for a £3 entry.

Pupils will receive three biscuits and have the fun of icing and decorating them and will then be able to take them away to eat.

Own Clothes Day

Pupils are invited to wear their own clothes to school on Friday, with cash donations being collected for our partner charities.

We look forward to a great Charity Day tomorrow and want to express our thanks to our wonderful Charity Committee and wider Community and Partnerships team who do such a great job supporting school partners.
