CCF Senior Appointments Announced

There was a nervous excitement in the CCF corridor as cadets filtered in to see the news posted on the notice board this morning. Our fresh new round of Senior position appointments had just been announced, and the cadets and their friends were eager to find out who had been appointed where.

Congratulations to Jasper K who has been appointed to the role of Cadet Regimental Sergeant Major for 2024-25. He will be passed the reins from current Cadet RSM, Nathaniel W, who has led the contingent meticulously through the year.

Right next to Jasper, will be Kalina W, who will be stepping into the Regimental Quartermaster Sergeant position.

There will be plenty of female power and leadership spearheading the contingent in the coming year, with Head of Navy to be led by Sasha K, Army to taken up by Zoe P and RAF by Angie K.

Head of CADRE has been appointed to Tristan O, who will be closely supported by Cadre Clerks Harry V and Eddie L. With a bumper cohort of Year 10 cadets in this year's contingent, next year's Cadre is going to be larger than ever and requiring strong leadership from the trio.

For the coming year, Alleyn’s CCF have also created a brand-new Senior role, Captain of Shooting, to support the rapidly growing CCF shooting club. With the expansion of shooting and increased cadet participation in the Country Life competition, Bisley, and other potential events throughout the year, a strong need for extra support was identified. The creation of the new role is a reflection of the needs of a growing contingent.

The Captain of Shooting role, appointed also to Harry V, carries parity with the other Heads of Section and we look forward to seeing Harry develop the new position and support the amount of shooting that will happen next year.

Lt Col Richmond had to say of the new appointments;

‘I am delighted to see the excitement from the cadets looking at this incoming year's appointments. An excitement that mirrors my own excitement in seeing the levels of professionalism and skill sets that will continue develop over the next year of CCF, as cadets across the board aspire to higher and higher standards.

‘I look forward to watching RSM Widdows hand over the cane to RSM to be, Kyriakoudis’.

Senior roles within the contingent are well sought after, as they provide an opportunity for cadets to refine their leadership and other skill sets. Senior Cadets take responsibility for a huge amount of CCF coordination including how next year’s Year 12’s will teach the younger non-commissioned officers and ensuring that they are well supported.
