Senior School News Finding Your Thing

Last weekend, four of our CCF RAF NCOs, Lance Corporals Casey, Holmes, Hubbard and Kutnyk, had the incredible opportunity to soar through the skies at RAF Kenley with 615 Volunteer Gliding Squadron (VGS).

Despite the blustery weather, each NCO took to the controls of a Viking glider, flying high above the airfield and experiencing the thrill of piloting a real aircraft. It was a truly unforgettable day of skill, courage and adventure!

Gliding is offered across the London and South East Region (LaSER) throughout the year, and Alleyn’s usually secures two visits annually - giving our RAF Cadets a fantastic chance to take to the skies.

Older Cadets and NCOs can also apply directly for Gliding Scholarships through the VGS, an amazing next step for anyone inspired by the experience and keen to keep reaching new heights!
