MUN 2026: Bold Ideas, Global Debate, and Unforgettable Experiences

In partnership with COBIS, Alleyn’s hosted this year’s three-day Model United Nations conference, bringing together ambitious delegates, bold ideas, and lively debate. From high-level committee sessions and the return of the Model Arctic Council to student-led discussions that challenged thinking at every turn, the conference was a showcase of diplomacy, leadership, and collaboration.

The weekend also featured a black-tie diplomatic dinner, a Saturday night buffet, and a disco, offering delegates the chance to connect socially while celebrating international education. With keynote insights from Mr Simon Wood, British Ambassador, and student voices driving debate throughout, MUN 2026 was a truly unforgettable experience that demonstrated confident voices, challenging questions, and global thinking in action.

Here, Amélie H, Chair of the Security Council, shares her reflection on the conference:

'It was my pleasure to chair the Security Council at this year’s AIMUN. The delegates, although largely approaching the conference somewhat inexperienced, completely blew me away with their sophisticated debate and articulate arguments. It brought me great pride to see them blossom and grow as MUN-ers over the course of the two days, and I hope they can take the skills they learned here into future committees and even broader settings. My co-chair, Trisha, was a great support throughout, and working with the whole Secretariat team was a delight. Although I can’t help but feel somewhat nostalgic as I enter my final months of school-level MUN, I consider myself lucky to be finishing it off surrounded by such incredible, intelligent, albeit sometimes chaotic, people.'
