Alleyn's CCF was delighted to host Commodore D'Silva (Royal Navy) to conduct their Biennial Review this week.

He received a day of informative presentations involving a wide range of cadets from Year 9 to 13, who all enthusiastically explained what it means to be a cadet at Alleyn's.

As a former senior cadet himself, the Commodore was able to cast a very critical eye over the programme, resources and outcomes of the cadet experience. On his final address to the cadets, the Commodore had glowing feedback, stating:

‘I have to say I am absolutely blown away and really impressed with all of the presentations I've received. A word that just kept coming back in my mind was how confident and how articulate everyone was coming up and talking to me and telling me what they were doing and progressing with Alleyn’s CCF.

‘It is truly inspiring. The way the space is run, and the very full programming is extremely impressive. I've found it very uplifting to come in front of so many people in uniform, who are passionate about what they're doing, and really espouse the values that that we are for’.

Although it will be a few weeks before the formal report is published, the Commodore stated that the cadets should feel very proud to be part of a Contingent that generates such a sense of community, participation and aspiration. He was delighted with what he saw and was very happy to confidently endorse the Contingent.

Well done Alleyn’s CCF!
