Oakfield Prep School to Join the Alleyn’s Schools Group

June 17th 2025

We are delighted to announce that from September 2025, Oakfield Prep School will join the Alleyn’s Schools Group and become Alleyn’s Oakfield.

Located on Thurlow Park Road in West Dulwich, Oakfield currently provides education for children from nursery through to Year 6. As Alleyn’s Oakfield, the school will offer an Alleyn’s junior school education for pupils aged 3 to 11, under the continued leadership of Head Gemma Davies.

While the school becomes part of the Alleyn’s family, it will retain its vibrant culture and close-knit community, while aligning more closely with the ethos and educational philosophy that defines an Alleyn’s education. Together with Alleyn’s Junior School, Alleyn’s Oakfield will offer a shared vision for exceptional, holistic learning, grounded in joy, curiosity and care.

Jane Lunnon, Head of Alleyn’s, said:

“Bringing Oakfield into the Alleyn’s family is a truly exciting moment that ensures a sustainable future for a much-loved local school and deepens our shared commitment to outstanding junior education in South London.”

Gemma Davies, Head of Oakfield Preparatory School, added:

“I am delighted that Oakfield Preparatory School will be joining the Alleyn’s Schools Group, as Alleyn’s Oakfield, and that our two schools will be combining our rich and shared history of educating pupils in Dulwich for many generations.”

Alleyn’s Oakfield will become part of a dynamic and distinguished group of schools, united by a commitment to world-class holistic education and rooted in the rich heritage of Alleyn’s School in South London. Find out more about Alleyn’s Oakfield.
