On Wednesday, the Music Department welcomed almost 60 prospective 11+ Music Scholars for an inspiring morning of music-making, performance, and discovery. The visiting pupils had the opportunity to perform for our music staff, receive personalised feedback, and gain a real insight into life in the Music School from Mr Luis Parés, Director of Music, and members of the department.
Our current Years 7–9 Music Award Holders were exceptional hosts and role models. They impressed with their professionalism and enthusiasm during a mock scholarship audition, delivered a stunning concert showcasing their talent, and led a lively Q&A with parents and prospective scholars. Their confidence, warmth, and passion for music shone throughout, making them true ambassadors for Music at Alleyn’s.
It was a joyful and inspiring morning that perfectly captured the vibrant spirit of music in our community.
