On Tuesday afternoon, we were delighted to welcome Ed Bullen and Phillip Napier, Prime Warden and Clerk of the Saddlers’ Company, to school for the Year 10 Saddlers’ Tea.
Held in the RLR, this special occasion brought together Year 10 Saddlers’ Scholars, their parents, and our Year 8 Saddlers’ Scholars for an afternoon of thoughtful discussion and celebration. The Year 10 pupils delivered a series of outstanding Ned Talks, exploring topics as diverse as identity and the Chagos Archipelago. Their confidence, intellectual curiosity and clarity of expression were a credit to them all.
We greatly value our close relationship with the Saddlers’ Company, whose generous support of the school is matched by their genuine interest in the development and flourishing of our Saddlers’ Scholars. It was particularly lovely to see the Prime Warden and Clerk reconnecting with Bea, Liza, Noah, Sophie and Toby over tea and cakes, rounding off a warm and memorable afternoon.
