Last week, Alleyn’s pupils took important steps towards shaping their academic futures at two vibrant and engaging events: the Year 9 GCSE Options Fair and the Year 11 A-Level Options Fair.
The Year 9 GCSE Options Fair was a lively and encouraging introduction to the choices ahead. The atmosphere was one of curiosity and growing confidence as pupils explored a wide range of subjects, spoke with teachers and older pupils, and began to consider where their interests and strengths might take them. The fair provided a supportive space to ask questions, discover new possibilities and start shaping the next stage of their academic journey.
Meanwhile, the Year 11 A-Level Options Fair offered pupils the opportunity to think more deeply about their future direction as they prepare for Sixth Form. With subject stalls ranging from Computer Science and Film Studies to History, Music and beyond, pupils engaged in thoughtful conversations, asked big questions and shared insights about their aspirations. It was a chance to explore how subject choices link to future study and career pathways, and to reflect on where their next chapter could lead.
Together, both events highlighted Alleyn’s commitment to guiding pupils at every stage of their journey, encouraging informed choices, confident decision-making and a genuine excitement for learning and the future ahead.
