Our Year 7 pupils recently visited Brockwell Park Community Greenhouses to explore this vibrant local community space and take part in hands-on workshops focused on the water and carbon cycles. The visit brought their classroom learning to life, making key geographical and scientific concepts tangible and relevant.
Building on their studies of photosynthesis and infiltration, pupils considered how these natural processes play a vital role in urban environments. They explored how thoughtful city planning can help prevent flooding, support biodiversity and contribute to the fight against climate change, empowering them to see themselves as informed, responsible stewards of the environment.
