With just a few weeks to go until the winners of the Independent Schools of the Year 2025 Awards are announced, Alleyn’s is proud to be in the running for Co-ed Independent School of the Year. The results will be revealed on 14 October 2025, when we will find out if we take home the title.
This year is particularly special for Alleyn’s, as we mark 50 years since the decision to teach boys and girls side by side. For us, ‘Co’ has always meant more than just sharing classrooms: it is about a shared way of learning, leading, and living. Over five decades, this philosophy has shaped a culture where pupils grow in an environment that reflects the real world and equips them to thrive within it.
Our approach to co-education has matured into something powerful:
We are honoured to be recognised alongside Brighton College, Bryanston School, Cranleigh School, and Lord Wandsworth College in this prestigious category. Whatever the outcome in October, our place as a finalist celebrates the way Alleyn’s has lived and breathed the values of co-education for half a century — and how we continue to evolve them for the future.
